Quality Policy

N & P Contracting is an electrical contracting company established in 2004. We complete works in a wide variety of areas ranging from commercial and industrial electrical projects to hazardous areas. Considering our purpose and context, the organisation recognises the importance of quality management in relation to our activities, products and services. As such, the company wishes to manage quality systematically in order to support its strategic direction, whilst committing to satisfying applicable requirements, including those of customers, statutory and regulatory requirements, and self-imposed requirements.

To this end, N & P Contracting has implemented an integrated management system (IMS) which includes the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. Via this system, N & P Contracting sets IMS objectives, including quality objectives, around which its system is based. Objectives relate to the organisation’s commitment to satisfaction of applicable requirements, including the following specific commitments:

  • Providing exemplary service to clients
  • Operating efficiently
  • Complying with project deadlines
  • Achieving and improving customer satisfaction.

These objectives are set and reviewed for achievement at IMS management review, and are recorded in the organisation’s current Strategies and Objectives Register.

N & P Contracting commits to continually improving its IMS via maintenance and improvement activities, including achievement of objectives, management reviews, internal audits, and the Improvements Procedure.

Safety Policy

As a company operating in a High Risk Industry, it is the policy of N&P Contracting to ensure Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). As such N & P Contracting maintains an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) included under our Integrated Management System (IMS) that covers the activities of our operation, namely Electrical Installation, Testing and Data Services. The overall goal of the system is to improve OHS performance with the aim of eliminating work related injury and illness.

The IMS includes the requirements of AS/NZS 4801:2001 and enables our Company to achieve the following overall OHS Objectives:

  • Conform to statutory and regulatory requirements, codes of practice, standards, and other requirements as applicable
  • Plan work in advance to enable hazards to be identified;
  • Assess risks associated with the hazards before starting work;
  • Determine suitable control measures to minimise the risk;
  • Prepare Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS);
  • Communicate safety issues to our employees and sub-contractors and seek their advice and suggestions;
  •  Supervise and train our personnel;
  • Continuously audit the program to ensure that aspects of the IMS are functioning correctly through management review;
  • Continuously improve the IMS.

More specific, measurable objectives and targets are set and reviewed for achievement at IMS management review, and are recorded in the organisation’s current Strategies and Objectives Register.

N & P Contracting commits to continually improving its IMS and OHS performance via maintenance and improvement activities, including achievement of objectives, management reviews, internal audits, and the Improvements Procedure.
